Tips for a beginner?
FL Studios just finished downloading, now I can learn to make music!
The most I've done when it comes to production is fucked around in FL for a little bit, but that was about a year ago, so I really have no idea what I'm doing. I've watched a couple friends of mine as the worked on songs, but they didn't explain what they we're doing. I'm just looking for tips in here~ Also getting audacity.

what version do you have? a good method to learn i think is to poke and prod around in someone else's .flp files. ive never tried it but ive taught people like that before, seems to work decently.

I suggested she get Audacity because her PC has 512 MB of ram, so getting some cool synthlines out of FL and then cutting them up becomes easier with an external audio editor. I know since my Dell has the same issue.
The fastest way to start learning is to try to recreate your favorite artist or something like that. Or assume all the music uses C minor and go from there!
